Our experience of having people to stay so far has shown that there are many people who would like to eat game, but would appreciate a little encouragement or direction. How much they want to be involved in its procurement is a personal decision for the individual to make.

We offer an opportunity for you to take game to any level you like, we are completely flexible and respectful of people’s choices, broadly speaking we can offer the following and anything in between:

Fully prepared game - all you have to do is put it in the oven and eat it. And we will tell you where it came from.

Game that needs preparing, prior to eating.

Beating – We go to a very low key Pheasant shoot, where just enough birds are shot for the table, and enjoyment for all is the order of the day, you will be among true countrymen finished off with a late pub lunch. (Available dates: tbc )

Ferreting – Come for a couple of hours, and experience the excitement, then take your quarry home and enjoy Rabbit Pie or a spicy Rabbit stir fry. 

Stalking – There is nothing quite like watching the dawn break from a high seat and the sight of a Roe deer.

Fishing – A warm summers evening, spent by the river, Brown Trout caught fresh and cooked on the bank, with a glass of ale or wine with good company, Can you think of anything better?

Clay pigeons - Unfortunately not edible, but huge fun.
